There's a minor bug in my Windows lunar distance program version 4.0.1.0. In the upgrade to Windows 8 compatibility, I changed the internal unit of length from au to km, but neglected to modify the horizontal parallax code. So the HP output is incorrectly displayed as zero. (The computation of apparent place is accurate and not affected by this bug.) In this new release, version 4.0.2.0, that is corrected. Also, the leap second at the end of 2016 is included in the leap second file. Another small improvement is that extraction of the .zip file creates directory Lunar4_0_2_0 by default. I.e., the version number is part of the directory name. The program is described in my message of last month: http://fer3.com/arc/m2.aspx/Updated-Windows-lunar-distance-program-v-4010-Hirose-jul-2016-g35725 By modern standards the program is small: only 700 k after installation. That includes the entire IAU SOFA library, JPL ephemeris routines, and Hipparcos star catalog complete to magnitude 3.0.
