Last night shortly after 0000 UT, I checked NavList as I usually do at the year rollover. In my code base I found notes to myself saying that nothing would need to be updated for a couple of years. And sure enough, everything was working fine. Almost everything...
There was, in fact, a rollover bug last night. No big deal. I could have left it to puzzle out when convenient. But it surprised me so I went digging. It was in an obscure spot, in some original code that I had written for these message boards nearly twenty years ago. When I filled in an "infinite future date" back then, beyond which I did not imagine my code would be running any longer, I selected the distant epoch of 2025.
And here we are in that distant future... Happy January 1, Y2infinity to you all.
