Trammell, yes a very nice photo! Thank you for the puzzle.
I did the Nautical Astronomy and found you in the eastern waters of Lake Vänern. Not impossible, but improbable! The latitude would work at various points east and west from there, but the longitude seems suspect... I started wondering if there was a problem with your reported time, but aha, maybe it's the date??

That seems inconsistent. The 17th was two weeks ago. Maybe 27 August??
If it's 27 August at 22:53 GMT/UT, then I find a position near 59.1° N, 5.5° E, northwest of Stavanger. That fits well.
