Kermit, I think the spot entries of arc errors imply a continuous scale. You gave what are in effect three spot entries but in addition you gave the range of the scale over which the entry was valid.
What you did not do is give the error of the tangent screw. How justified are you in assuming the tangent screw is perfect so that if you go from 0' to 20' on the tangent screw, it will move the arc the same amount as 20' to 40'...?
