Yes, the Google Ngram viewer is fascinating!
What a great little tool. I too tried ‘Astro’ and ‘Celestial Navigation’ and also ‘Maths’ and ‘Math’, but I never got to the comparison site. I thought ‘Astro’ and ‘Maths’ had won easily on figures until I counted the number of point noughts. ‘Dave’, I’m pleased to say, grows more and more popular by the day. DaveP
