             Yes. The documentation explains how to generate scales extending to negative angles on the cosine scale.

              No that’s not currently an option. But will keep in mind if I decide to "open the hood".

              It’s not currently an option but again will bear it in mind. The best you can do at present is to adjust the physical dimensions of the scale and the

user parameters to eliminate any clipping that you find particularly objectionable.

For your general information; Using the program GSView version 5.0 I was having trouble producing scales with the version of the PS code that read the required tick marks from an external file. It turned out to be a problem with default configuration in that release. To be able to read from an external file in GSView go to

Options > Advance Configure…

Then in

Ghostscript Options:

Add “-P” if it’s not already there. The panel should look something like

-dNOPLATFONTS -sFONTPATH="c:\psfonts" –P
