Dear Geoffrey,
> Just to balance the views on the two lists....
Please, notice one more difference in the views:
those who try to preserve the old list never call
to abolish the new one.
For example, all my messages
explaining why I do not like the new list are
REPLIES to Frank's messages calling to abandon it.
> The "web interface" for me is via my email program,
You mean that your mail program keeps all list messages
since the list was created?
My does not and cannot for the simple reason that I joined the
list only 2 years ago:-)
Anyway, when I was speaking on "web interface" I did not mean the
mail programs.
If you use your mail program only, there should be no difference for you
whether only one or two lists exist, if you are subscribed to both,
correct?
If this is so, then I don't understand what we are discussing?
Some people of this group prefer the old list.
They found a person who is willing to take care of it.
This creates no inconvenience for anyone...
Alex.
