Well it took a bit more effort on my part to convince the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) that the labelled position of Gnonom Island on Chart 29104 should also be updated. It seems that the information needed to clinch the case was not readily available. After having "requested imagery" a new Notice to Mariners has now been issued. Gnomon Island is tiny island, named for its shape by members of the Shackleton Expedition. It sits just off what is now Point Wild and is essentially invisible at the scale of the chart.
