I have attached several pages from Field Manual FM-30-476 which relates to radio direction finding. When interpreting three radio bearing LOPs you have the same need to determine the center of the cocked hat as when doing CELNAV and this manual lays out the same techniques that we are familiar with but, in addition, it gives another method I had never seen before which is labels the the "Steiner Point" method. Have any of you used this method which looks like an easy, quick and accurate way to accomplish this task?
