Double vial horizon prototype

Now that I can make my own level vials a pair of them can be combined on one plate. Here is a prototype done on a plastic cutting board to illustrate:
The plate would likely be a 1/4 inch mild steel and the mirror 6 inches square. I just dropped a round one as an example. The levels would be glued in place. A lash-up like this is probably what the Amundsen team is using in that famous photograph recently posted. The Freiberger is the essentially the same but with a $900 price tag.
