This turns out to be the easiest way to find the symmedian point.
I was just kidding about the fifty dollar price since you can buy your own ruler for $4.35 at your local art supply store. Just add the diagonal lines at 45 degrees for a 1:1 scale and at 60 degrees for a 1:2 .
