Dollar Store Sextant

Today I went to the dollar store for essentials(soap and the like) and walked
out with a glass candle holder (which looks like a space age hockey puck) and
a small mirror. Two dollars bought all that I needed to fabricate a half
mirrored fixed angle sextant. It is a perfect coffee table conversation
piece/paper weight at the very least. The sun shows nicely but the design is
really intended for the moon which I will be trying this evening.
