(Fwd) The Most Anomalous Refraction Yet or What ?
    From: W F Jones
    Date: 2009 Aug 04, 11:23 -0400

My sincerest apologies to the Navlist group. I became distracted and forgot
to give you the 'rest of the story'. Please
take a look at the following URL for details,
    <>. This is definitely
not from the rather common sun-dog phenomena we may see several times
annually. There appear to be the normal
vertical component and goofy, multiple horizontal components as well.

I thank George H. for keeping me on the straight.

Some of you will certainly find this three sun photograph interesting.
Anyone want to describe the atmospheric model
for this and share it with the world? How trustworthy would this
situation be for an amplitude measurement?

    Regards,
    Frank J.
