Just to practice using the NA's tables I just did this experiment
When my computer's clock ticked to 2012 Mar 12 04:45:46 pm EDT or
2012 Mar 12 20:45:46 Z
I asked the tycho site http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/cgi-bin/sidereal-post.sh for LAST
It returned 08:09:21.5 LST
According to the NA on 2012 Mar 12 2000Z Aries was 110º 52.0'
Using the table of increments and corrections 45m46s 11º 28.4'
or 122º 20.4'
Using the table Conversion of Arc to Time
122º 08h 08m
20.5' 1m 22s
or 08:09:22 which matches as well as can be expected with tycho.
