Mr AI tells me tha 8th dec 1840 is near the southern solstice. The sun's dec is near 22 deg. Can I find a number in the calculatioons that is close to log trig 22?
log cos 22.67 = 0349. Is 03523 the dec part of the calculation? (again from Mr AI).
