I actually have a flight manual for the U-2 (declassified). There was a sextant that was built into the dashboard, along with the ground drift sight. I read somewhere that they would use the latter to navigate by folowing the roads & railway lines to thier targets, along with the cel nav.
In the next few days I will dig it out & post out the nav portion. It might take a while - I am about to retire & need to close out a bunch of work stuff. Please remind me if I haven't sent anything in a week or so.
