There is a house called "The Pirates House" at 145 Church St, with the "Pirates Courtyard" behind, a short walk north of Longitude Lane..
My mother was living there when she met and married my father, an officer on a Liberty ship.
And one of my direct ancestors, the Landgrave Edmund Bellinger, settled nearby, possibly in 1674..
