Consider the following. Take a sun shot or several sun shots around 0900. Given that "the sun moves 15 Degrees/hour" actually it's the earth that so moves but let that pass, take another sun shot or series of shots around 1500.
Pick a pair of sights that are 6 approximately hours apart, that would equal 90 Degrees between lines of position, and try reducing them using the USPS Sight Reduction Form SR 96a, then plot the reduced sights on the USPS CLS 98(constant latitude sheet). Both are downloadable from usps.org
This should give you the coordinates of your front yard, within 5 NM's, perhaps closer depending on the accuracy of your plotting/drafting and sextant shooting/time keeping.
