    While in London, also visit the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. With a name like that, who could resist. (Has lots of Harrison manuscripts and I think one of his early pendulum clocks.

    Cambrige University has all the Longitude Board papers if you want to see the originals, but now available on line.

    While in Europe, I recommend the Paris Observatory , Tycho Brahe Museum Uraniborg, Denmark (not strictly navigation, but very much the birth of accurate astonomy). Italy. Padua for Galileo Jupiter moons via first telescope.

    Portugal, Maritme Museum Lisbon.

    If the world is your oyster and you have time and funds, then why not follow the Cook voyages , Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, etc.
