    Did you  see the transit of Venus in June, 2004 (there's another in 2012 if
    you missed  it)? It was entertaining; Venus makes such a big spot on the Sun.
    This transit  was the first that could be video-ed, and it's interesting to
    note that the  famous "black drop" effect was not visible at all to many
