Thank you for marking my homework. 228° was indeed a typo (or writo) made when I transferred 288° to the Summary of Results page. A moment’s thought would have made me realise that 228° would have taken me down towards the Caribbean. Should you wish to reassess my value for the great circle distance, I’ve included the relevant pages below. I seem to have obtained the distance in km via a roundabout method, which I can no longer follow, so any difference might be in conversion factors. Now! Your homework for tonight: Where would I have ended up if I had indeed flown 228° from London? DaveP
