I distilled the logbook of the whaleship Charles W. Morgan and made a map out of it. You can see it here:

They left New Bedford in September of 1841 and headed first to the Western Islands (Azores). From there they sailed south to Cape Horn and on into the Pacific. The main whaling grounds are clearly visible where they spent months at a time sailing about along the equator. When the hold was full, they returned to New Bedford arriving at the very beginning of 1845.
The dots on this map represent the best position for the ship for every day of the voyage except when they were at anchor. The green circles represent those 20 or so "longitudes by lunar". The yellow squares are the ship's location where the log indicates that the crew was "working lunars" but no lunar longitude was recorded.
