Hello David,
The one-day error for January 2026 referred to by Geoff Hitchcox for your calendar-disc seems to me to remain a one-day error through to the end of 2027. I reckon it becomes a two-day error from the start of 2028, assuming the rule of using the red markings for the leap year is followed.
Although that disc seems wrong for 2026, it is right for 2003 which is shown in the same location as 2026 on the disc. It looks to me like that disc might have given more plausible indications over some of its earlier life than it does now, going by spot checks of dates visible on it. The disc gives a correct calendar for all of July 1998, Dec 1999, Mar 2000, Aug 2001, May 2002, Jan 2003, June 2016, and March 2017, whereas Aug 2024, May 2025, July 2027, Dec 2028, and June 2029 are all wrong.
Regards,
AdrianF
