An interesting issue for 0.05 arsecond star positions: how would you test your results?? You would need some trustworthy, high-quality resource that provides apparent star positions at that level. Do you have a source in mind? Anyone else??

The Astronomical Almanac publishes to +/- 0.0001s RA and +/- 0.001" Dec its yearly "Fictitious Star" Stellar examples computed through both the CIO and the Equinox methods (e.g. on pages B72-B74, 2025 Edition) with both methods yielding the very same numerical results.
