I am afraid I have to correct myself once more as re-checking my work I now think the haversine azimuth formula at the end of the explanation should read
Hav (coDec) = hav (|B – Hc|) + (1 – hav (|B – Hc|) – hav (|B + Hc|)) * hav (Zn)
Sorry. Please excuse me.
And then "work towards the middle" using Dec (from coDec), B and Hc as knowns.
