I 100% agree : " That change of 6.4' in 2.8 hours is a rate of 2.3' per hour. " and not a rate of 0.23' / hour as I wrongly underestimated by a ... 10 factor as correctly point out.
Hence all my other Longitude uncertainties determinations are in error by this same 10 factor.
Correct result - your result - is 0.7° in the best case, or reasonably 1.5° if we can observe at +/- 0.2'

Other than that, it was fun ...especially since I am just now discovering that Galapagos are not that far away.
