I just weighed my MA-2 and, for some reason, it weighs 3 ounces more than the MA-1, 6 pounds 6.2 ounces. While I was at it I weighed my A-7, 3 pounds 7.9 ounces and my A-10A, 3 pounds 8.2 ounces.

I uploaded the manual for this sextant at:
I just weighed mine on my kitchen scale, it weighs 5 pounds, 15.0 ounces.
If you are not using it in a plane you can remove the averager and eliminate several pounds of weight, you only have to remove 4 screws. It is easy to put it back on again.
You can find replacement bulbs for 12, 6, or 3 volts, I posted that information before.
The MA-2 had a bubble so has the advantage that you can take sun shots without electicity sith the bubble illuminated by natural llight but the MA-1 needs batteries for all sights.
i asked the seller to post a photo of the back to see if it contains the screw holes for the strap. The averagers for the periscopic and for the MA-1 and MA-2 are interchangable very easily but the averager housings for the periscopic do not have the holes for the strap. It is possible the the one offered for sale h=may have had its averager replaced with a pericsopic one.
But, you really don't need the strap.
