Thanks to you Frank for giving all of us access to this remarkable book.

I have long noticed how amazingly impressive the Russian approach to Science in many areas - which I discovered long ago in their way of tackling [Newtonian] dynamics - can turn out to be.

As we all know, they are not lagging behind anybody in terms of technical implementation from theoretical science.

In this specific Celestial Navigation area, giving much importance to Zenith is very instructive. If I remember correctly they consider here solving the Navigation Triangle (the standard Height Azimuth determination obtained from Geographic and Astronomical coordinates) essentially as a change of Zenith from the Equatorial Zenith (the North Pole) into the local Zenith defined by the Navigator's [DR] Latitude / Longitude. To whoever can think and see/conceptualize in 3 dimensions, this is a very powerful and fruitful approach.

    Thanks again to you Frank,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026 to all,

    Antoine M. "Kermit" Couëtte
