Is there any chance you could show those of us not so amazing how your system works?  Maybe in a few images with a description!?!

    Andres,

Thanks for drawing attention to this. It should be obvious that this paper as motivated in large part by conversations you and I had both on and off list.

There is a wide spread notion that in order to get a running fix on a sphere you first need to decide how to advance a Circle of Position (CoP) on a spherical surface. A number of wrong papers have been published that attempted to do just that. The central point of my paper is that if you go back and think about what you are trying to achieve with a running fix the correct solution is rather straightforward and the concept of an advanced CoP isn’t actually necessary or helpful. The degree of simplification is such that it becomes feasible on an ellipsoid,

    Regards,

    Robin
