    Dr George Bennett's method - or maybe should I name it "Sir Francis Chichester's Method" - is clever indeed while probably not so accurate as true Lunars, as suspected then by the UK Nautical Almanac Director.

    I can vaguely recall that it has been addressed on NavList earlier (many many moons ago) but it had totally escaped my mind.

    I am going to carefully rework Dr George Bennett's own example and check whether I can reproduce his published own results, and will keep you posted :-) then.
